Pre-Overlord Chapter 3Chapter 3: Rude Awakening
He woke up to the cage being banged, startled, he flew to the back of the wall. His eyes darted from side to side. Where was he? This place, it smelled so revolting! Ew! Smelly bad place! Smelly bad place! He held his nose trying to block out the smell.
"Look! The little red-thing is finally awake," a voice said, as the cage was banged around again.
He cringed, pressing his body flat against the wall, his glowing chest panting hard. "Let me out!" he called out to them. "Let me out!"
"It speaks!" The voices retorted, as laughter filled the air. Again, the cage was banged around before whoever was banging the cage left. The laughter going with them. He cautiously made his way up to the front of the cage, peeking out. "Hello?" his voice called out.
"Pyrros wake! Pyrros wake!" Another voice, sounding similar to his own, called out.
All around him, he saw other cages with creatures the same as him. They all had red skin with glowing yellow stom
Notes from the Netherworld Library - IntroductionNo Overlord has yet realized that there is another library. When or if one of them does find the other library, the results aren't likely to be happy, at least not for Gnarl.
The other library has always been in the Netherworld. It contains Gnarl's collection of research on minion mythology, his notes on Tower management, and his chronicles of all the Overlords, complete with his honest assessment of said Overlords' abilities.
Since no Overlord has ever been particularly mild-tempered, the result of any of them ever seeing Gnarl's notes is likely to be... fiery.
Fortunately for the old Minion Master, there is only one Overlord who is likely to ask, and he is currently trapped in the Infernal Abyss.
Gnarl is not the first minion ever spawned, but he is one of the first generation, and the oldest minion alive. Mortis is from his generation, although spawned some years later. Giblet was once trained to follow Gnarl as a Minion Chieftain, a position that was later abandoned w
Pre-Overlord Chapter 7Chapter 7: Castle Troubles Part 2
Malkor was slumped slightly against the wall. He was tired and thirsty. They had run out of water. The minions around him were dying off faster than he realized. Even Gnarl himself was struggling. Malkor leaned his head back. He had shed down to his tunic and pants to help reduce sweating. The minions had been gone for at least a day, if his calculations were correct.
It was only a matter of time before he completely lost it due to hallucinations. Minion blood was something he was not going to resort to. He'd rather die by dehydration than drink their blood, even if they sacrificed it for him. They'd have to force feed him.
Gnarl walked up. "Sire?"
Malkor slowly opened his blood-shot eyes. The normal red glow had dimmed down to a mere flicker, and the minion could see they were truly red, in a very bad way. "Sire, please! Drink, I know it's not of something of your desire, but it will strengthen you." Gnarl pulled out the small water-blad
Pre-Overlord Chapter 10Chapter 10: Rollicks slip of the Tongue.
"Fire in hole!" Cham called out as he ignited the gunpowder trail as everyone cleared way out of the cellars and hid among the counters in the kitchen. There was a loud boom as the ground rattled and vibrated, making the pots and pans shake in place. Rollick looked over as smoke bellowed out from below. He coughed slightly as he waved the air to help clear it away.
"Did it work?"
"Let go see!" Cham said eagerly as he hurried down as the others soon caught up to the minion. They found Cham staring at the wall. They had managed to blow away most of the debris but the path was still blocked.
Demeter walked up and growled, "Damnit!" he snarled.
Qeb was beside himself. Grimm had to smack the minion upside the head to calm him down but he too, began to feel the fear for the Master rise up in his throat. What if they couldn't get to them in time?
It's been nine days since Malkor was trapped. How long would he last? And Gnarl, he was old,
That was the PastDisclaimer: I don't own Overlord. Those rights belong to Codemasters and Triumph studios.
It was a hollow feeling. Here he was the master of this domain, nay the god. Servants obeyed his every command, they had no choice after he slew the Forgotten God. Occasionally there were problems with the dwarves and Halflings, yet they were dead so they would simply respawn in moments. The same applied to the many minions that lulled about, undead minions that is, and not of the kind he had grown accustomed to. It was in these rare instances of idleness, he removed his helmet.
Another wraith filled his cup. Sipping it slowly his thoughts turned to the world above. Quilt would pay for his treachery, that is if the minions hadn't done so already. Those were the days, good old bad days, as Gnarl would put. If anything this recent excursion had done, it was add a little excitement. Admittedly, he enjoyed his earlier exploits, conquering the lands, slaying would be heroes, and now this.
Oh how he lon
mechanici want to kiss every aching wound you have,
bandage your heart every time it bleeds,
and patch up your mind over and over
because not a single tear deserves to fall
from your brandy-drenched eyes
but this dripping heart of mine can only feel
and the healing honey words it flames get caught
in the back of my throat and on the roof of my mouth
so i only have these passionate guttural cries
to tell you that i care all too much
and in order to fix you up again,
i would need to tear myself to tatters
and trade all of my working parts
for your leftover, fading pieces
but i just haven’t figured out how.
